Premier League fans must wait until 2025 for semi-automated offside technology (SAOT).

SAOT is already in use in the Champions League and Serie A. It uses a network of cameras to track player movements and the ball at high speeds.

Despite unanimous approval from all 20 clubs in April. However, in a meeting held this Thursday in London among league representatives, clubs were informed that testing with this technology is not yet complete and that it may not be implemented until at least the start of 2025.
