Kylian Mbappe has filed a formal complaint with the Ligue de Football Professionnel and UEFA against his former club, PSG.

The dispute centers around a substantial financial claim amounting to 55 million euros, which Mbappe alleges is owed to him by PSG.

According to Le Monde, the sum Mbappe seeks includes 36 million euros related to the final installment of a signing bonus, three months’ worth of unpaid salaries (April, May, and June), and an additional “ethical bonus” associated with these months.

The dispute has now reached UEFA and Ligue 1. PSG now risk serious sanctions if they are found to have failed to pay a player. The LFP could see PSG banned from registering new signings, and UEFA could also rule the Parisian club out of European competitions.

PSG maintain that their financial actions were justified and confirm that negotiations are ongoing with Mbappé and his representatives.
