ARTIFICIAL intelligence (AI) has predicted when Cristiano Ronaldo will score his 1,000th career goal.
At 39, the Portuguese star is still blazing a trail in the Middle East. Despite his advancing age, Ronaldo has scored eight goals in nine games for Al-Nassr this season.
CR7 also continued to make his mark at international level when he scored against Scotland last month. The Portuguese captain’s strike in the 2-1 win over Croatia in September also helped him become the first player in history to score 900 goals.
Before that match, Ronaldo revealed on his YouTube channel that he had set a target of scoring 1,000 goals . Ronaldo said: “Soon I will reach 900 goals and then I will surpass 1,000th. I want to reach 1,000 goals. If I don’t get injured, that’s the most important thing for me. I want it.”
“It’s the best mark I can have in football. There will be one difference: all my goals have video, so I can prove it.”
In a recent study conducted by Casadeapustas Bet, they predicted that Ronaldo would succeed in reaching 1,000th goals. Using artificial intelligence, they determined that CR7 would reach that goal on August 15, 2028. This means that he would have to continue playing until he is 43 years old to reach his goal.
It is predicted that Ronaldo’s scoring rate will start to decline after he turns 40 next February. If it continues until August 2028, he will have the chance to play in two more major tournaments for Portugal.
If he continues to play for that long, Lionel Messi is predicted to have scored 923 goals by the time Ronaldo reaches 1,000.
